About Unibase
Unibase is a decentralized memory layer purpose-built for AI agents. Its core business consists of three modules: Membase, a storage layer for long-term agent memory; the AIP Protocol, which standardizes inter-agent messaging and coordination; and Unibase DA, a data availability layer ensuring real-time, verifiable access to AI data. The project's central narrative is that AI agents need persistent, portable memory and identity to function reliably across platforms, rather than being siloed in individual applications.
The market pain points Unibase addresses are concrete: most AI agents are stateless, losing context between sessions; they cannot easily communicate or share knowledge with other agents; and users lack control over the data their agents generate. Unibase solves these by giving each agent an on-chain identity (ERC-8004), enabling cross-agent communication, and allowing users to own and verify their agents' memory through cryptographic proofs.
Regarding recent development (March to September 2026), Unibase launched its "One Million Memory Nodes" initiative in Q1 2026 to scale decentralized storage and retrieval, and released AIP 2.0 in Q2 2026, which enables cross-platform memory sharing for interoperable agents. These milestones represent tangible progress in expanding the network's capacity and interoperability.
As for negative information within the past two years, the project has faced the common challenge of bootstrapping network effects in a competitive space, with early adoption remaining limited outside of its core developer community. No major security incidents or protocol failures have been publicly disclosed.
Unibase was founded in November 2023 as a decentralized AI memory layer, built on a three-tier architecture: Membase (verifiable memory storage), AIP Protocol (ERC-8004 identity and interoperability), and Unibase DA (data availability layer). The project launched on BNB Chain mainnet and integrated with mainstream agent frameworks including MCP, ElizaOS, Virtuals, and Swarms, enabling cross-platform memory sharing and autonomous payments (x402).
In September 2025, Unibase (UB) successively landed on Binance Alpha and Binance Futures, with the listing of UBUSDT perpetual contracts (up to 50x leverage) and an Alpha Points airdrop campaign. Bitget subsequently listed XPIN and UB perpetual contracts. Binance Alpha then launched a second batch of UB airdrops with a minimum threshold of 226 Alpha Points. These密集 exchange listings marked its transition from an infrastructure project to mainstream market visibility, validating the market's recognition of the "AI agent memory layer" narrative and laying the foundation for long-term value capture in decentralized AI infrastructure.
Positive: In March, Unibase launched the Unibase Pay protocol for AI agents on BNB Chain. In July, it partnered with RoboPay. In August, it released the Memory Chrome extension and listed on Bithumb, driving price rallies.
Negative: 75% of token supply remains locked and unlocks over two years, creating selling pressure. In early August, CoinGecko flagged wash trading concerns. The team is anonymous with no VC backing. Futures volume far exceeds spot, indicating heavy leverage.
