About Space and Time
Space and Time is a decentralized warehouse and indexing layer, loading blocks, transactions, contract events and off-chain datasets into unified tables, then proving query results with Proof of SQL so contracts can verify data they cannot compute. It addresses the contract's narrow view: contracts see only their own state, while pricing, claims or derivatives settlement need historical trades and cross-chain balances that aggregation cannot produce on-chain. The SXT chain coordinates queries and proofs, index nodes write data.
In the ecosystem it bridges data availability and computation: public nodes and institutional feeds upstream, DeFi pricing modules, game leaderboards and enterprise dashboards downstream. Unlike general indexers, results are contract-verifiable and can enter liquidation and settlement logic; unlike oracles pushing computation off-chain, it keeps re-executable SQL semantics, with the same query run off-chain and proven on-chain.
Space and Time completed a $20M Series A round with Framework Ventures, marking its first major institutional backing.
It partnered with a16z crypto to accelerate Jolt implementation based on the Dory polynomial commitment scheme, strengthening its ZK proof infrastructure.
Binance Alpha launched SXT with an airdrop to eligible users, followed by Binance Launchpool listing and a separate airdrop for Alpha point holders, expanding token distribution.
Microsoft integrated Space and Time into Fabric, bringing real-time, cryptographically verified blockchain data to Azure enterprise users.
The mainnet launch introduced a ZK-verified data-driven chain, a key milestone for decentralized data infrastructure.
Coinbase listed SXT, increasing accessibility for mainstream crypto users.
Unlocks: 81.7 million SXT unlocked on August 8, 1.6% of total supply and about $795,000, mostly to investors and the team; a 387 million SXT release on May 8 equaled 23.2% of the float and roughly $6.1 million. About 55.6% of supply remains locked.
Fundamentals: cumulative fees reached about $172,500 and protocol revenue about $72,600 by September 8, with over 120,000 transactions in 24 hours but only 14 active addresses; staking yields roughly 9.7%. The token set an all-time low of $0.00624 on July 1 and is about 94% below its $0.1621 peak.
On 2 March 2026, Space and Time launched a zero-knowledge proof incentive programme for lending and derivatives protocols, encouraging them to route verifiable SQL computations into settlement and risk workflows. On 5 May 2026 it released Virtual Vaults, letting institutional borrowers prove collateral exists to lenders without exposing raw exchange account data.
On 8 September 2026, Space and Time integrated Chainlink's Confidential HTTP into Virtual Vaults, fetching private balances inside a trusted execution environment, discarding credentials and settling a zero-knowledge proof onchain to resolve the privacy-versus-verification tension in institutional onchain lending. SXT was also included in Chainlink ecosystem integration roundups during the year, while the team continued serving institutions through Microsoft Fabric and SXT Chain data tables.
Future strategy and roadmap: After combining Virtual Vaults with Chainlink confidential computing, Space and Time keeps extending to more custodians and prime-broker data sources so institutional borrowers prove collateral without exposing credentials. The company deepens ZK coprocessor use in credit and derivatives, and leverages Microsoft Fabric and SXT Chain data-table capabilities for more enterprise clients and government credential projects.

Space and Time recently saw a team change: Carlos Bort, Head of Web3 Data Solutions, departed in July 2026. He joined in August 2024, previously co-founding Cenit Finance, which was acquired by Space and Time in 2024 and rebranded as Space and Tokens. During his tenure, he led Web3 data solutions and drove the integration of Cenit's products with the SxT platform.
His departure may impact the platform's continued development in Web3 data solutions, but a successor has not yet been announced.
