About MultiBank
MultiBank is the group's crypto spot and derivatives exchange, regulated by VARA in Dubai and ASIC in Australia, offering more than 90 trading pairs and USDT-margined derivatives with up to 250x leverage. It addresses the lack of a regulated route for traditional FX and CFD clients moving into crypto: client funds are segregated, custody uses a multi-party computation architecture, and deposits and withdrawals settle in US dollar, euro and dirham; the platform also runs a real-world asset marketplace whose tokenised real estate programme with MAG pays out daily at a rate the page lists as up to roughly 8 % annualised.
It sits alongside the group's FX business and the MEX institutional matching venue, with the MBG token used for fee discounts, staking and Launchpad participation; each line is carried by a different licensed entity, so the products available to one account differ by jurisdiction. In April 2026 the platform launched a DAO and opened a physical OTC trading desk, and announced a partnership with Ghana Gold in the same month.
In May 2022, MultiBank Group launched its crypto brand MultiBank.io (formerly MEX Digital), marking its official entry into blockchain and digital assets, laying the foundation for a compliant exchange.
On July 15, 2023, MultiBank.io went live as a spot cryptocurrency exchange regulated by ASIC in Australia and audited by AUSTRAC, using multi-party computation (MPC) custody to enhance security and transparency, establishing a regulated presence in the crypto market.
In April 2025, MultiBank Group migrated over $20 billion in daily trading volume to the MultiBank blockchain, leveraging blockchain technology for reliability and transparency—a key long-term move in crypto infrastructure.
Buyback & burn: A burn of 17,625,202 MBG was completed on May 11. The structured burn program runs over five years with cumulative buybacks of up to ~$440M.
Major development: The DAO launched in April, a Ghana Gold partnership was announced on April 23, and a physical OTC trading desk opened the same month.
On May 11, 2026, MultiBank's crypto arm mb.io partnered with Kings Orbis, EON3 and Mavryk to tokenise physical gold from Ghana's Ashanti region, vaulted in Dubai under LBMA-approved custody; on May 12 MBG listed on Bitpanda, lifting the token 8.68% at one point and pushing daily volume to $7 million.
In the first quarter of 2026 MultiBank.io rebranded as mb.io; on April 23 it announced the Ghana gold partnership, opened a physical OTC desk and launched its DAO, and on May 11 it burned 17.625 million MBG. A further 27.15 million MBG unlocked on August 22, about 6.16% of circulating supply.
MultiBank follows the 2026 roadmap through the RWA marketplace and custodian wallet, spot and derivatives APIs in September, and the mb.io Pay components in the fourth quarter, tying token utility to RWA trading discounts and burns.
