About HashKey Exchange
HashKey Exchange has achieved several milestones with long-term significance. In March 2023, it obtained the AMLO license, becoming Hong Kong's first fully licensed virtual asset unicorn. In August 2023, it became one of the first VATPs approved to serve both professional and retail investors, marking a regulatory milestone for Hong Kong's virtual asset market. The company later expanded retail trading support to include AVAX and LINK, broadening access for retail users. In 2024, HashKey was authorized by the SFC to launch Ethereum ETF staking services, representing a major step in integrating staking with regulated investment products. Its Omnibus service was adopted by leading brokerages such as Guotai Junan, enabling compliant crypto trading through traditional financial channels. In November 2025, HashKey passed the HKEX hearing for its IPO (stock code: 3887.HK), positioning itself as Asia's largest onshore digital asset platform by trading volume. These milestones reflect HashKey's evolution from a licensed exchange into a comprehensive digital asset ecosystem spanning trading, staking, asset management, and Layer-2 infrastructure.
Tony Chen (Co-Founder) and Haiyang Ru (CEO) are key figures at HashKey Exchange. Tony Chen is a co-founder with a background in technology and product development, previously serving as CTO. Haiyang Ru, the CEO, brings extensive experience from Ant Group, where he held senior roles in operations and finance, and also worked at KE Holdings and Meituan.
