About Drosera Network
Drosera Network is a decentralized incident response protocol for Ethereum. Its core business lets developers write emergency response logic as Solidity smart contracts called Traps. These Traps are not deployed on-chain in a readable way; they live off-chain, continuously monitor on-chain state, and remain hidden until triggered. When an anomaly is detected—such as a suspicious state change or the opening move of an exploit—a network of independent node Operators evaluates the data and pushes a verified automated response on-chain, such as pausing a function or alerting operators.
The core value proposition is preventive, real-time security. Traditional security measures like audits and bug bounties operate before or after an attack, but Drosera aims to act inside the window between an attack starting and anyone noticing. By keeping defensive logic hidden off-chain, it avoids the problem of on-chain defenses being readable and circumventable by attackers. Decentralization removes the single point of failure inherent in a single monitoring bot.
The market pain point is clear: DeFi has lost billions to exploits, and losses typically occur in the narrow window between an attack beginning and someone with authority responding. Drosera tries to own that window, shrinking detection-to-response time to as close to zero as the chain allows.
Regarding development in the past six months (2026-03-12 to 2026-09-12), no reliable information was found in the provided sources. The GitHub releases listed cover versions up to 1.25.0 (2025-11-03), and the mainnet launch announcement lacks a specific date within the requested period. Therefore, no development update can be confirmed for that timeframe.
Drosera Network was founded in 2023 as a decentralized incident response protocol for the Ethereum ecosystem, using "traps" to detect threats and automate responses.
On February 14, 2024, it completed a $1.5M pre-seed round with participation from Arrington Capital, supporting early product development.
On February 10, 2025, it raised a $3.25M seed round led by Greenfield Capital, with Anagram, Paper Ventures, and others, bringing total funding to $4.75M. The funds will accelerate product development and mainnet preparation.
For testing, over 25 protocols including Ion Protocol, EtherFi, and Gravita have committed to its testnet, alongside multiple node operators, validating the feasibility of a decentralized response network.
The protocol aims to provide an "immune system" for DeFi, with incentive-driven incident response, marking a long-term shift in onchain security.
