About DigiFT

DigiFT is a digital asset exchange licensed by both the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). Its core business is the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs), such as money market funds and treasury products, and providing a regulated secondary trading venue for these tokens. The company addresses a key market pain point: while RWA tokenization has grown to over $24 billion in distributed value, distribution remains fragmented and compliance infrastructure is often unclear. DigiFT's solution combines regulatory clarity with institutional-grade infrastructure, enabling licensed products to be traded and used across jurisdictions.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), DigiFT has focused on expanding distribution channels and practical use cases. It signed a memorandum of understanding with Arco to distribute its regulated products to institutional allocators in South Korea. It also partnered with BE Trust to serve high-net-worth individuals in Hong Kong. Additionally, DigiFT launched a pilot with Theoriq to use its tokenized money market fund as collateral in a Morpho lending market, testing how regulated assets can be deployed in DeFi while maintaining compliance controls. These initiatives reflect a shift from simply issuing tokens toward integrating them into broader financial workflows.

No significant negative events were reported in the past two years. However, the broader RWA sector still faces challenges such as limited liquidity and evolving regulatory frameworks across different jurisdictions.

Key milestones and long-term development:

  1. Secured Capital Markets Services license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Type 1/Type 4 licenses from Hong Kong's SFC, becoming the first tokenized RWA platform licensed by both major Asian financial regulators, establishing a compliance-first foundation.

  2. Tokenized Invesco's $6.3 billion private credit fund, a landmark event in institutional RWA adoption that brought a traditional asset management giant on-chain.

  3. Launched OTC secondary market trading for tokenized RWAs with GSR, introducing a systematic market maker to solve the long-standing liquidity challenge, enabling real-time price discovery and 24/7 Asian market hour trading.

  4. Completed a $25 million strategic round led by SBI Holdings with participation from Arbitrum Foundation, Polygon Labs and others, validating institutional momentum and accelerating cross-ecosystem infrastructure bridging TradFi and DeFi.

From March to September 2026, DigiFT achieved several key milestones in institutional-grade RWA tokenization.

In March, DigiFT partnered with Flow Capital to launch the APAC Credit Strategy Token (FLOWC), investing in private and public credit across Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and other markets, marking its expansion into diversified credit asset classes.

In May, DigiFT collaborated with Theoriq to pilot the use of regulated tokenized money market funds as collateral for on-chain lending, exploring DeFi use cases within a compliance framework. The pilot separated the asset layer from the strategy layer, providing a secure path for institutional capital to enter on-chain credit markets.

In July, DigiFT signed a strategic MOU with Arco, leveraging Arco's institutional network in Korea to distribute its MAS- and SFC-regulated tokenized products—including U.S. Treasuries, money market funds, and private credit—accelerating penetration across Asian markets.

Regarding future focus, the company has clearly outlined: 1) expanding the regulated RWA product line to cover more asset types and jurisdictions; 2) deepening compliant DeFi integration to drive real-world applications of tokenized assets in lending, trading, and other scenarios; 3) strengthening the Asian distribution network by partnering with local licensed institutions to enhance market liquidity. DigiFT will continue to prioritize compliance as it bridges traditional finance and on-chain capital markets.
