About DigiDaigaku

DigiDaigaku is an NFT collection of 2,022 anime-style characters. Its core business follows a "Free-to-Own" model: Genesis characters were free-minted, and holders receive airdropped assets from later collections such as Heroes, Super Villain, and Giant Dragon. Through quest mechanics, holders consume items (spirits or potions) to mint new NFTs, with supply and demand determined by the community rather than the project team.

The project's main competitive edge is its Bloodline system, which records the origin Genesis and Hero attributes on-chain for every derived NFT, forming a traceable family tree. It also introduced ERC721-C, a royalty contract enforcing on-chain revenue distribution among creators, minters, and holders. These mechanisms address common market pain points: traditional GameFi relying on NFT sales for funding, marketplace royalties being widely ignored, and NFT projects lacking long-term gameplay utility.

Regarding development from March to September 2026, no specific reliable information for this period is available from public sources.

DigiDaigaku, created by Limit Break, launched on August 9, 2022, with a "Free-to-Own" model that allowed 2,022 Genesis characters to be minted for free, pioneering a free-holding ecosystem with subsequent airdrops. In 2022, Limit Break raised $200 million to support long-term development. Later, the Quest system was introduced: merging or burning Genesis with Spirits created Heroes inheriting Royal, Warrior, or Rogue bloodlines, forming composable, dynamic NFT mechanics. In February 2023, a $6.5 million Super Bowl ad brought NFTs into the mainstream, despite execution controversies. The project also launched Bitcoin Ordinals Chibis, Adventure Key games, and designed the ERC721-C creator royalty standard to ensure on-chain revenue sharing. These milestones established a holder-centric paradigm of continuously expanding digital assets and gamification.

Over the past six months, DigiDaigaku's key development centered on the soft launch of its first game, Puzzle Panic, on iOS in New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore (announced April 15, 2026). The current build focuses purely on core gameplay without web3 features, while the team concurrently builds blockchain infrastructure and prepares for an upcoming testnet. This announcement drove DigiDaigaku NFT floor prices to double, surpassing 1 ETH, with rare items reaching 2 ETH. Future roadmap priorities include integrating web3 elements such as collectible/tradeable stickers, expanding the game's ecosystem, and leveraging the Free-to-Own model to grow community engagement.
