About Delegate Cash
Delegate Cash is a crypto asset delegation solution that lets users authorize another wallet to act on their behalf without transferring ownership of NFTs or tokens. Think of it as a power-of-attorney for blockchain assets: a cold wallet (secure storage) can delegate specific rights to a hot wallet (daily-use), enabling the hot wallet to claim airdrops, participate in DAO governance, access token-gated communities, or play games—while the cold wallet retains full custody. Its core strength lies in separating ownership from usage rights, which dramatically reduces the risk of hot-wallet theft. The system also supports 'Liquid Delegates,' tradeable NFTs representing delegated rights, allowing users to safely trade airdrop claims or NFT utilities without counterparty risk. The main pain point it solves: previously, users had to either expose their cold wallet to risky interactions or miss out on on-chain activities. In the past six months (March–September 2026), Delegate Cash has continued to expand its integrations across multiple EVM chains, with more projects adopting it for token-gated minting, gaming actions, and governance voting. It has also refined its delegation tools to support time-limited and token-specific authorizations. One notable concern: users must remain vigilant against phishing sites mimicking delegation interfaces, as careless approvals could still lead to asset loss—though this is a general web3 risk rather than a flaw in the protocol itself.
