About DIA
DIA is an open-source data and oracle platform that provides decentralized price feeds for DeFi protocols. Unlike traditional oracles that rely on third-party data providers, DIA sources raw trade data directly from both centralized and decentralized exchanges, then aggregates and validates it through a community-driven process. This ensures transparency and verifiability at every step.
A key innovation is DIA Value, launched in early 2026, which addresses a critical market gap: many newly emerging blockchain assets—such as tokenized treasuries and yield-bearing stablecoins—trade too infrequently to generate reliable market-based price feeds. Instead of relying on market trades, DIA Value derives prices from each asset's underlying mechanism by reading smart contract data, reserve balances, and redemption rates. This approach provides accurate pricing for illiquid assets and helps prevent cascading liquidations.
The platform's core strengths include full transparency (all data and methodologies are open-sourced), customizability (users can select data sources and aggregation methods), and broad coverage across 55+ blockchains and 20,000+ assets. DIA's architecture is modular and permissionless, allowing anyone to contribute data or run nodes.
In the past six months (February–August 2026), DIA has focused on expanding DIA Value integrations. Protocols including Euler, Morpho, Silo, and Hydration have adopted the system for pricing and risk management. The oracle is also being used for stablecoin reserve verification and pricing tokenized real-world assets. As institutional capital enters blockchain markets, DIA's mechanism-based pricing approach is gaining traction for assets with limited market liquidity.
Bullish:
- Launched DIA ZK, a verifiable data assurance layer, strengthening on-chain verification.
- Lasernet mainnet staking completed one year; Feeder network grew to 10+ independent operators.
- Staking rewards adjusted to ~5-6% APY, shifting to a more sustainable model.
Bearish:
- Staking rewards cut sharply from up to 30% APY during the early Genesis phase.
- Official claim of TVS above $400M conflicts with DefiLlama's third-party figure of ~$104M, a 3.8x gap.
- DefiLlama does not track DIA fees/revenue, leaving staking reward sources without independent verification.
