About Credora
Credora is an institutional credit infrastructure that provides real-time risk ratings for DeFi lending markets, stablecoins, and vaults. Its core business is to quantify the probability of default (PD) and potential significant loss (PSL) for on-chain financial products, assigning grades from A+ to D. The ratings are powered by a proprietary algorithm that simulates market stress scenarios, using data from both on-chain and off-chain sources. Credora's key competitive edge is its dynamic, high-frequency monitoring: unlike traditional credit agencies that rely on static reports, Credora updates ratings continuously and delivers them on-chain through RedStone's pull-based oracle, ensuring that protocols and lenders always act on the latest risk assessment at the moment of transaction. The main market pain point it addresses is the lack of standardized, real-time risk measurement in DeFi, which has hindered institutional participation. Credora solves this by offering a transparent, data-driven framework that bridges traditional credit analysis with decentralized finance. In the past six months (March to September 2026), Credora has expanded its coverage to new protocols and assets. Notably, in June 2026, it assigned an A rating to Spark Finance's spUSDG, a savings vault on the Robinhood chain, with a PSL of 0.15% annually. It also deepened its integration with RedStone to enhance data delivery security. While no major negative events were reported, the reliance on historical data for model calibration remains a limitation, as extreme market conditions not seen in past cycles could challenge the accuracy of its ratings.
Major developments in the past six months: 1) RedStone completed its acquisition of Credora, creating the first oracle delivering both price data and risk intelligence, enabling protocols to dynamically adjust collateral ratios based on live credit scores. 2) Significant scale growth: rated vaults manage over $9B in on-chain capital, rated assets exceed $500B in combined market cap, live on Morpho and Spark. 3) In May, Credora risk ratings went live on the Yield.xyz API as daily-updated letter grades + PSL (Probability of Significant Loss) metadata on yield positions. 4) In June, became KPK's official due diligence partner, moving ratings ahead of asset listing; KPK USDC Prime Core received an A rating. 5) In August, partnered with Tydro v2 to rate its kBTC/USDC markets on an A+ to D scale.
Future focus: 2026 is positioned as the year of Risk-Aware DeFi; ratings will be exported to wallets, fintech platforms, and AI agents as machine-readable real-time risk signals. As RWAs and institutional capital enter, unified risk ratings will become foundational infrastructure as essential as security audits, helping protocols meet compliance requirements of professional capital allocators.
