About Brevis
Brevis is a ZK-powered data attestation platform that enables smart contracts to access and compute over historical on-chain data without trust assumptions. Its core products include the ZK Data Coprocessor, which lets contracts query arbitrary past chain states with low gas costs; Pico zkVM, a high-performance proof generation engine; and ProverNet, a decentralized marketplace for ZK proof generation. The main problem it solves is the high cost and impracticality of reading and processing large amounts of historical data directly on-chain, while avoiding the trust issues of centralized indexers. Its competitive edge lies in the "compute off-chain, verify on-chain" model, achieving fast proof generation and broad chain compatibility.
In the past six months (2026-02-28 to 2026-08-31), Brevis has focused on expanding its ecosystem and improving performance. It announced a collaboration with BNB Chain to launch a compliance-focused ZK privacy pool in Q1 2026, enabling private transactions while maintaining regulatory standards. The platform reported over 288 million ZK proofs generated, with Pico Prism achieving 99.6% real-time proof coverage of Ethereum mainnet blocks on consumer hardware, claiming to be 32x faster than competing solutions. However, challenges remain, including the computational cost of proof generation, the complexity of circuit development, and the need for sustainable economic incentives for proof providers.
Brevis, a ZK-powered off-chain computing layer, has evolved through several key milestones. In November 2024, it completed a $7.5 million seed round co-led by Polychain Capital and Yzi Labs (formerly Binance Labs), marking institutional recognition of its vision. In February 2025, Brevis launched Pico, a high-performance modular general-purpose zkVM, enabling developers to write in Rust and integrate optimized ZK coprocessors. In October 2025, it released Pico Prism, achieving real-time proof generation for 99.6% of Ethereum blocks within 12 seconds using 64 RTX 5090 GPUs, a breakthrough toward Ethereum Foundation's targets. By early 2026, BREV token was listed on major exchanges including Coinbase, Bithumb, Upbit, Huobi HTX, and MEXC, with Binance launching its first HODLer airdrop of 2026 for BREV, supported by market makers Amber Group and GSR Markets. These milestones mark Brevis's transition from research to production, establishing it as a unified computing trust layer for blockchain ecosystems.
Positive:
- In April 2026, the Uniswap Foundation granted Brevis up to $9M to build a ZK-based trustless routing rebate program, boosting Uniswap v4 adoption.
- In May 2026, Brevis, Primus, and Unitas launched real-time proof of reserves for USDu, verifying on-chain and CEX-held hedge assets.
Negative:
- In March 2026, tokenomics showed initial circulation of only 25% of total supply; ecosystem and community incentives unlock linearly over 24 months post-TGE, while team and investor tokens start linear unlocking after one year, creating ongoing selling pressure.
