About BlockSec

BlockSec is a full-stack blockchain security and compliance provider. Its specific services include smart contract and infrastructure audits, real-time attack monitoring and blocking, cross-chain fund tracing, and AML/CFT compliance screening tools. The core narrative is 'full-lifecycle protection': covering everything from pre-launch code review to post-incident forensics and regulatory reporting.

The market pain points it addresses are clear: DeFi exploits and hacks cause hundreds of millions in losses annually, cross-chain money laundering is increasingly sophisticated, and exchanges and payment platforms face growing regulatory pressure for KYT/AML compliance. BlockSec solves these by combining manual audits with proprietary differential fuzzing tools, operating real-time monitoring systems that can block attacks before execution, and providing transaction simulation and fund flow analysis for incident investigation.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), BlockSec has been notably active: it released Phalcon Compliance 3.1 for faster KYT screening, expanded Phalcon Explorer to support Monad (10,000 TPS) and Plasma (stablecoin-focused L1), and became the official audit partner for Morph's $150M payment accelerator program. Its data has been cited in major media reports on Tether freezing $514M in USDT over 30 days, and it publicly analyzed the Wanchain breach involving 515M NIGHT tokens exploited. The company also partnered with Cobo to strengthen cross-border payment security and introduced the UEX Security Standard with Bitget.

BlockSec was founded in May 2021 by Professor Zhou Yajin, transitioning from academic research to entrepreneurship. Within a month of establishment, it secured its first round of funding led by Distributed Capital, marking its entry into the blockchain security market with a technology-driven and internationalized strategy.

A significant milestone came with the launch of Phalcon, an integrated platform combining protocol monitoring, attack blocking, and security response. The platform successfully blocked over 20 attack incidents and recovered more than $20 million in digital assets for protocols, demonstrating its practical value in real-time threat mitigation.

In November 2023, BlockSec released Phalcon 2.0, an advanced attack monitoring and prevention platform. It introduced features such as mempool-level early detection, automated response transactions with gas bidding strategies, and support for EOA and multi-signature wallets, enabling projects using Safe{Wallet} to automatically defend against attacks.

The company also demonstrated its analytical capabilities by quickly identifying the root cause of the D3XAT contract attack on BSC, which involved price manipulation due to spot price dependence, resulting in approximately $160,000 in losses. This incident highlighted BlockSec's expertise in rapid vulnerability analysis and its role in the broader security ecosystem.

Key BlockSec progress over the past six months:

  1. Launched Phalcon Compliance App, a compliance risk management platform for VASPs. It features a real-time database of 400M+ address labels, AI behavior analysis processing 500+ transactions per second, unlimited transaction tracing, a pre-built FATF-aligned customizable risk engine, support for 20+ chains, and real-time alerts via 7 channels.

  2. Published a DeFi compliance technical framework, advocating for embedding compliance hooks, real-time screening, and privacy-preserving identity layers into smart contracts, enabling institutional-grade AML/KYT integration, cross-chain fund tracing, and one-click STR generation.

  3. Announced the upcoming launch of Trace AI, an AI-agent-driven on-chain investigation tool. Users describe cases in plain language; the AI identifies chains, traces fund flows, and generates reports. It supports 8 chains and 10 languages at launch, with tracing starting at $5 and full reports at $100.

  4. Entered a strategic partnership with Morph as an official audit partner for its $150M Payment Accelerator, providing smart contract audits and penetration testing to stablecoin payment projects, with a 20% discount for accelerator participants.

Future focus: continuing to integrate security and compliance into a unified platform, embedding AI deeper into on-chain investigations and compliance screening, and building institutional-grade security infrastructure for stablecoin and institutional payment ecosystems.
