Autonomys Network

Autonomys Network is a layer-1 blockchain built for decentralized AI (deAI), combining storage and compute in one stack. Its core business is providing a permanent data layer for AI applications, where data is stored through a distributed storage network (DSN) driven by Proof-of-Archival-Storage (PoAS) consensus. Execution happens on separate DecEx domains, which are flexible sidechains for AI workloads.

Its main value proposition is separating consensus from execution, allowing scalable and verifiable AI data handling. The network also introduces Auto ID and Auto Score for identity and trust in AI agents. Market pain points include centralized AI data silos, lack of verifiable provenance, and high storage costs. Autonomys solves these by enabling anyone with an SSD to participate in storage, ensuring data integrity and permanence.

In the past six months (Feb-Aug 2026), the network released Proof-of-Space table optimizations on mainnet, speeding up plotting. It upgraded to the latest Substrate release and completed a first draft of the Data Domains specification. Research began on GPU plotting. The team also shipped Pay with AI3 for direct storage purchases, added Solana as a bridge destination, and integrated with healthpass1 for encrypted health records. S3 compatibility was enhanced, and the Crypto Inheritance Protocol integrated Auto Drive for tamper-proof records. The boosted staking rewards program peaked at 20,500 AI3 daily before winding down.
