About Ardor
The Ardor multi-chain platform launched on January 1, 2018, with ARDR and IGNIS allocated via a genesis snapshot of the Nxt blockchain, establishing an architecture where the parent chain provides security while child chains run their own tokens . On February 1, 2026, the Nxt main chain hard-forked at block 4,333,333 and migrated to become an Ardor child chain, while Ardor 2.6.0 activated Atomic Transaction Chains for secure all-or-nothing cross-chain operations . Earlier, Ardor 3.0.0e testnet introduced snapshotting and pruning, letting new nodes download only the parent chain and verify a state snapshot to counter blockchain bloat . Ardor 2.1.2 testnet introduced Turing-complete Lightweight Contracts with two-step deployment and lifecycle management . These milestones mark Ardor's evolution from multi-chain architecture and scalability to ecosystem integration.
