About ArcBlock
In the past six months (2026-03-11 to 2026-09-11), ArcBlock's main development was a strategic upgrade: in August it published 'From Blocklet Server to ARC', defining Agentic File System (AFS) and Agentic Operating System (AOS) as the new runtime, continuing DID identity and DID Spaces data layer, with blockchain still as verifiable records and future payment foundation. This is a directional positive for the project, but the official also acknowledged that chain-side AFS access and on-chain settlement are still under construction, and Blocklet 2.0 has not yet landed. No substantive information on buybacks/destruction, revenue, token holder rights, or unlocks.

Robert Mao is the founder and CEO of ArcBlock, an AI-native infrastructure for agents and applications. He is a serial entrepreneur and public speaker, previously working at Microsoft Research on social computing. He has authored over 30 papers, patents, and two books on blockchain. Currently, he leads the development of AIGNE, an open-source TypeScript-native framework for building autonomous multi-agent systems.
