According to a notice from the global securities financing technology company EquiLend, Goldman Sachs has begun using its distributed ledger platform 1Source built on the Canton Network, joining the ranks of Bank of New York Mellon and National Bank of Canada.
The platform aims to reduce issues such as duplicate reconciliation, inconsistent transaction records, and settlement failures between traditional financial institutions by synchronizing securities lending transactions and subsequent changes through a shared ledger. Bank of New York Mellon and National Bank of Canada started transmitting real transaction data to the platform in October 2025.
