Self-hosted trading platform Grvt burns 1.1 million tokens, Grvt 2.0 enters countdown
The self-hosted trading platform Grvt, built on its own zero-knowledge chain, announced that its foundation's token issuer has completed the first GRVT token buyback, purchasing and destroying 1.1 million GRVT in the open market. This transaction permanently removed nearly 1% of the circulating supply at the time of purchase and is the first of five milestones before the launch of Grvt 2.0 planned for the end of November 2026.
The issuer stated that subsequent buybacks are planned to occur monthly, but each transaction will be decided independently, with no predetermined purchase quantity or guaranteed timeline. The buybacks are executed through independent partners, with purchased tokens transferred to a designated burn address and permanently removed from circulation. The quantity of purchases and burns, the proportion of circulating supply, and the on-chain transaction hash can be verified on the public buyback dashboard.
In terms of products, the Grvt Earn program is set to launch at the end of October, supported by tokenized assets, with a target yield of up to 11% that is not guaranteed, and expected returns coming from the cash flow of the underlying assets. Stable Funding Perps, covering commodities, stocks, foreign exchange, and indices, as well as Yield as Margin, which allows eligible Grvt Earn balances to support trading positions while continuing to accrue interest, are both planned for launch in November.
