Musk suggested directly distributing Anthropic shares to the public

Artificial intelligence company Anthropic announced that it will inject a portion of its shares into the newly established wholly-owned entity Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, which serves the public interest entirely.

The initial size of the fund is 5% of the company's shares, and thereafter, for every 50% increase in the company's valuation compared to the established baseline, an additional 2% can be injected, up to about 20%. In response, Elon Musk suggested directly distributing the shares to the public and later added that this is exactly what he intends to do.
