Osmosis: OSMO inflation issuance is expected to terminate, with the goal of on-chain voting on October 20

According to the official announcement, the Osmosis community forum has initiated a discussion on the proposal to "Terminate OSMO Inflation Issuance." The proposal aims to stop the mint module from daily issuing OSMO, with staking rewards coming entirely from protocol revenue; based on the current burn rate, approximately 2% of the OSMO supply is destroyed each year, and there will be no new issuance to hedge.

The target date for the proposal to go on-chain is October 20, and the daily vesting release for developers will also be paused. There are approximately 51.9 million OSMO remaining in the vesting module account, and any future releases will require a separate governance decision.
