The cryptocurrency payment platform Mesh has launched Link Chat, supporting transactions initiated by natural language

The cryptocurrency payment platform Mesh announced the launch of Link Chat. The company stated that this is an AI-driven product experience within Mesh Link, allowing users to initiate financial operations using natural language. This capability is now live and is being rolled out to partners, with plans to expand to the Mesh product stack, covering payments and other supported transaction types. Mesh was founded in 2020 and is building a cryptocurrency payment network connecting hundreds of exchanges, wallets, and financial service platforms.

According to Mesh's explanation, after users make a request, the platform can present eligible accounts and funding sources, including connected accounts and compatible accounts that can be connected. An example intent is to deposit 50 USDC into an account. After the user specifies the intended action and reviews and confirms the transaction details, Mesh orchestrates the connection between the funding source and the target platform, with the movement of funds requiring user approval. Relevant uses include transferring funds into accounts, completing payments, or other supported operations.

Research firm Forrester's data shows that in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, 31% of consumers frequently use conversational AI to inquire about personal finance issues and compare financial products, with 24% doing so through tools outside of banking applications. Mesh's Chief Technology Officer Arjun Mukherjee stated: The conversational interface is changing the way people get things done, but in financial services, the utility of the interface depends on the underlying infrastructure. Mesh will showcase Link Chat at Money20/20, and Mukherjee will speak on October 19 from 4:20 PM to 5:00 PM (Pacific Time).
