The IMF expects global economic growth to rebound next year, but still below the average level of 3.5% over the past two years. The IMF describes the medium-term outlook as "uninspiring," due to the uneven boost brought by AI.

The report points out that the foundation for global economic growth is narrowing, with only 32 economies currently contributing 95% of the overall expansion. The IMF expects the global inflation rate to fall from 4.7% this year to 4.1% next year.
