William Middelkoop: Bitcoin is the fastest horse, aiming for 1 million dollars by 2030

Oct 12, 2026 23:14:44

The founder of the Commodity Discovery Fund and author of The Big Reset, Willem Middelkoop, stated in an interview with Bitcoin Magazine that central banks are purchasing gold at a record pace but are unwilling to hold Bitcoin. The reason is that central banks prefer to hold assets they can control, while the price, supply, and market of Bitcoin are beyond their control.

Middelkoop pointed out that institutional investors are entering this market through Bitcoin ETFs, and the fund he manages has also allocated Bitcoin. He mentioned that currency devaluation trades are driving Bitcoin, gold, and commodities into a bull market, and discussed topics such as BRICS nations, de-dollarization, and the declining demand for U.S. Treasury bonds.

He proposed a 25% investment portfolio model that includes real estate, gold, stocks, and Bitcoin, and provided a target price of $1 million for Bitcoin by 2030. The interview also covered topics such as oil prices, the situation in Iran and the Gulf, as well as the Bitcoin Amsterdam conference and "Mad Max"-style Bitcoin scenarios.
