Injective will support native USDC and integrate the Circle cross-chain transfer protocol

Layer 1 blockchain Injective announced that it will support the native issuance of USDC and integrate the cross-chain transfer protocol (CCTP) developed by Circle, allowing USDC to be directly transferred between supported blockchains.

This integration will enable USDC to be natively issued on Injective, rather than through a bridged version, allowing users to transfer USDC between Injective and other networks without relying on wrapped assets or third-party bridges. CCTP reduces bridging-related risks by destroying USDC on the source chain and minting an equivalent amount of USDC on the target chain.
