According to the Seoul Economic Daily, South Korea's third-largest cryptocurrency exchange Coinone is seeking to sell a portion of its shares. Major shareholder Chairman Cha Myung-hyun (holding 53.44%) is considering selling part of his stake and is in discussions with overseas exchanges and domestic financial institutions for collaboration.
Market rumors suggest that the second-largest shareholder Com2us (holding 38.42%) may also sell its shares. The largest exchange in the U.S., Coinbase, has expressed strong interest in the South Korean market and plans to meet with major companies in Korea.
