According to ChainCatcher news, Tether has announced the acquisition of a minority stake in the digital asset platform Bit2Me and has led a €30 million financing round, which is expected to close in the coming weeks. This financing will be used to support Bit2Me's expansion across the European Union and strengthen its operations in Latin America, particularly in Argentina.
Previously, Bit2Me became the first Spanish-speaking crypto asset service provider (CASP) authorized by the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) and complies with the relevant requirements of the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). After obtaining the MiCA license, Bit2Me can legally operate in all 27 member states of the EU.
