ChainCatcher news, Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX engineer Rahul Agarwal was arrested by Bangalore police for allegedly assisting in a security incident that caused approximately $44 million (around 380 million rupees) in funds to be siphoned off.

The incident occurred on July 19, 2025, when CoinDCX detected a large amount of funds flowing from its wallets to multiple external addresses. Investigations revealed that Agarwal allegedly leaked system login credentials by installing malware, allowing attackers to infiltrate internal systems.
