ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, the legal team of the founder of the cryptocurrency mixing service Samourai Wallet sent a letter to the Manhattan federal court on May 5, disclosing that the prosecution is suspected of concealing important evidence. It is reported that the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) had clearly stated six months before the indictment that Samourai Wallet did not need to apply for an MSB (Money Services Business) license. However, the prosecution still filed charges against the founder for "operating without a license" and concealed this key information for as long as a year and a half.

The two defendants in the case, Rodriguez and Hill, were previously charged with assisting in over $2 billion in illegal transactions. Currently, the legal team has requested the court to hold a hearing regarding the prosecution's delay in disclosing evidence and stated that they will refile a motion to dismiss the charges.
