Metaplex has started the MPLX buyback, with 50% of Metaplex's historical fees and monthly fees being used to purchase MPLX.

ChainCatcher message, the decentralized NFT infrastructure Metaplex announced on X that 50% of the protocol's historical fees and monthly fees will be used to purchase MPLX and donated to the Metaplex DAO, with the aim of supporting decentralization and community governance.

50% of the Metaplex protocol's fees in May (4,490 SOL) and a small portion of the historical fees (5,510 SOL) were used to purchase MPLX in June, totaling 3.8 million MPLX donated to the Metaplex DAO.
