Chaoyang He is the Co-founder and CTO at FedML. He has a dual vision in business and technology, product and research. He has extensive experience in machine learning, distributed systems, blockchain, and edge/cloud computing. He has published papers on these topics in ICML, NeurIPS, CVPR, ICLR, AAAI, MLSys, and VLDB, among others. He has previously worked with researchers and engineers at Google, Facebook, and Amazon. He was a R&D Team Manager and Principal Software Engineer at Tencent (2014-2018), a Team Leader and Senior Software Engineer at Baidu (2012-2014), and a Software Engineer at Huawei (2011-2012). He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
