About Drosera Network
Drosera is an automated security response protocol on Ethereum. It targets the gap between an exploit and the funds leaving: most protocols can only pause after the fact, and attack transactions often complete within one block. Drosera has protocols pre-deploy Traps, contracts that encode attack patterns as decidable conditions, while a decentralised node network scans the mempool and blocks; when a condition holds, nodes submit proofs and trigger a pre-authorised response such as pausing a contract or moving funds.
Nodes stake to participate and are slashed for collusion or missed detection; responses run through pre-approved callbacks, so no emergency multisig is needed. Monitoring services only raise alerts, whereas Drosera puts detection and execution in the same contract logic. Traps only cover attack paths that have been explicitly modelled, and vulnerability classes outside those conditions will not trigger a response.
Drosera Network was founded in 2023 as a decentralized incident response protocol for the Ethereum ecosystem, using "traps" to detect threats and automate responses.
On February 14, 2024, it completed a $1.5M pre-seed round with participation from Arrington Capital, supporting early product development.
On February 10, 2025, it raised a $3.25M seed round led by Greenfield Capital, with Anagram, Paper Ventures, and others, bringing total funding to $4.75M. The funds will accelerate product development and mainnet preparation.
For testing, over 25 protocols including Ion Protocol, EtherFi, and Gravita have committed to its testnet, alongside multiple node operators, validating the feasibility of a decentralized response network.
The protocol aims to provide an "immune system" for DeFi, with incentive-driven incident response, marking a long-term shift in onchain security.
On January 1, 2026, Drosera launched its Early Supporters Program, turning mainnet participation into three subscription tiers: 0.009 ETH for 100 points a week over three months, 0.018 ETH for 200 points a week over six months, and 0.30 ETH for 300 points a week over twelve months plus full unlock at TGE and priority allocation. The project has raised about $4.8 million from investors including Greenfield Capital, Anagram, Arrington Capital and Paper Ventures.
Mechanically, Drosera writes security response into programmable contracts: protocols predefine Traps, such as more than 20% of liquidity leaving in a single block or unbacked minting, and when one triggers a network of independent operator nodes observes off-chain, reaches consensus on-chain and automatically pauses or moves funds, with operators bearing economic consequences through EigenLayer restaking. The mainnet is live, and more than 25 protocols committed to integrate early on.
Drosera Network will expand the Trap template library and operator coverage, turn response time and false positive rates into publicly disclosed metrics, and prioritize lending and bridging protocols for adoption.
