About Doppel
Doppel is a security company originally built for crypto and NFT platforms. It detects fake NFTs, phishing sites, fake tokens, rug pulls, and impersonator accounts across social media, domains, and marketplaces. Once found, it automatically reports them to platforms like Meta, Discord, and Telegram for takedown. It also watches for impersonation of executives and exposure of personal data.
Its core approach is "fighting AI with AI." Because generative AI makes it easy for scammers to create convincing fakes at scale, traditional detection lags behind. Doppel processes over 100 million signals daily, correlates scattered attacks, and stops campaigns before they spread. It also includes employee-focused defenses: email security, phishing triage, simulations, and security awareness training.
In the past six months, Doppel announced email security in late May 2026 and made it generally available on July 30. It also launched an AI-managed service for human risk management that automatically designs, schedules, and optimizes security drills. In Q2, the company surpassed 300 customers globally, added several large enterprise logos, and expanded operations into Japan. These developments are reflected on its official website and official social media.
Doppel completed a $35 million Series B funding round led by Bessemer, advancing its digital risk management capabilities.
It later secured $70 million in Series C funding, also led by Bessemer, underscoring sustained growth in AI-driven social engineering defense.

In May 2026, it launched Phishing Triage, an automation that analyzes employee-reported threats, and later announced Doppel Email Security, which reached general availability on July 30. The solution leverages agentic AI and the Doppel Threat Graph to detect malicious inbox threats and execute targeted takedowns of phishing infrastructure.
On June 16, Doppel formally entered Japan through a strategic alliance with CTCSP Corporation, a member of the ITOCHU Techno-Solutions (CTC) Group, accelerating its global expansion following EMEA entry and 3x ARR growth year-over-year.
Future development focuses on AI Managed Service, which autonomously designs and optimizes human risk management programs, and expanding the Threat Graph across email, social, domains, and messaging to disrupt the entire social engineering attack chain.
Doppel co-founder and CEO Kevin Tian, a Georgetown University alum, previously worked as an engineer at Uber and Lyft, building real-time distributed systems, intelligent dispatch, and flying car (Uber Copter) projects. He co-founded Doppel in 2022 to create an AI-native social engineering defense platform, backed by a16z and Bessemer Ventures.
Co-founder and CTO Rahul Madduluri holds a BS in Computer Science & Computer Engineering from USC. He began his career at Uber working on machine learning and ETA prediction. He later founded YakPak, an e-commerce aggregator, and became a Founder Fellow at South Park Commons. At Doppel, he leads product, engineering, IT, and security.
Bobby Wolfe-Ralph joined Doppel as Enterprise Customer Success Manager in May 2026. He previously held similar roles at ZeroFox and Tenable, bringing deep expertise in customer success for security platforms. This hire strengthens Doppel's enterprise client support amid its global expansion.
