About Aleph Zero
Aleph Zero is a public blockchain focused on privacy. Its development began in 2018, with the whitepaper released in 2019 and the mainnet launched in November 2021. The core innovation is the AlephBFT consensus, based on a DAG, achieving near-instant finality in ~0.9 seconds and tolerating up to 33% faulty nodes.
On August 12, 2024, Aleph Zero's EVM Layer-2 mainnet went live, built on Arbitrum Orbit technology in partnership with Gelato. It supports Solidity development, offers 250ms block times, and uses the Substrate-based WASM Layer-1 as its data availability layer, marking the ecosystem's expansion into Ethereum.
zkOS is a comprehensive privacy framework that optimizes zero-knowledge proof generation to under one second on consumer devices, supports multisig, and integrates ZK-ID for AML/CFT compliance. It is scheduled to launch on the EVM layer in Q4.
The NEON program aims to help enterprises enter Web3 by providing tools and grants, fostering institutional adoption.

Adam Gągol (Co-founder & CTO): PhD in Mathematics, specializing in numerical algebraic geometry. Previously a researcher at Jagiellonian University, focusing on neuroimaging and machine learning. Led Aleph Zero's technical development.
Antoni Zolciak (Co-founder): Background in marketing and business development, with experience at Admind Agency and Brand24. Responsible for Aleph Zero's strategic partnerships and ecosystem growth.
Matthew Niemerg (President): PhD in Mathematics from Colorado State University. Former postdoctoral fellow at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Fields Institute. Oversees Aleph Zero's research and institutional relations.
