Details

zkBridge is a cross-chain bridge protocol based on zero-knowledge proofs. It uses zkSNARKs to verify source chain block headers and consists of a block header relay network and an updater contract. The protocol separates application logic from core bridging functionality, enabling developers to build cross-chain applications. Its mechanism: the relay network fetches block headers and generates validity proofs, the updater contract verifies them and maintains a light client state, thus confirming on-chain events without trusting third parties.
