zkSNARKs closed a sealed-bid auction of avatar NFTs on Zcash on September 18, 2026, clearing 8,000 pieces at 1.5 ZEC each from 16,971 bids and keeping about $17.5 million. The next day onchain investigator ZachXBT said the team had retained 10% of supply for roughly $2,000 in minting costs and charged a 5% royalty, while delivering none of the promised governance framework or community tools.
