Details

XTrace is a memory infrastructure for AI agents, built on belief revision theory. It extracts structured facts (Beliefs), artifacts, and session summaries (Episodes) from conversations, and supports semantic retrieval scoped by user, group, or app. Core mechanisms include: belief entrenchment (user-stated beliefs outrank system inferences), contraction (pure denial without replacement), dependency propagation (downstream dependencies flagged when a belief changes), and learning from corrections (each correction generates a training sample). Developers can integrate via the TypeScript SDK or HTTP API — conversation data is automatically extracted, embedded, and stored, then queried using natural language.
