About xAPI

xAPI is an API aggregation platform designed specifically for AI agents. Its core business is to provide a unified gateway that allows developers to access multiple services—including web search, X/Twitter data, AI model inference, and cryptocurrency data—through a single API key and billing system.

The platform's key competitive advantage lies in its agent-first design: it automatically handles rate limiting, failover, and schema standardization, which significantly reduces the integration complexity for AI applications. Instead of managing dozens of vendor SDKs and authentication flows, developers only need to work with one consistent interface.

The main market pain point xAPI addresses is the high cost and fragmentation of API access. For example, official X API pricing can reach thousands of dollars per month, which is prohibitive for individual developers and small teams. xAPI offers a pay-as-you-go model with much lower entry barriers, making social media data and other premium APIs accessible to a broader audience.

In the past six months (2026-02-28 to 2026-08-31), xAPI launched its public beta (v0.1.0) in February 2026, establishing its brand as a universal API platform for the agentic world. In April 2026, X officially released its own MCP server and usage-based pricing, which validated the market direction xAPI had been pioneering. This industry shift confirmed the growing demand for agent-friendly API access, though it also introduced more competition. During this period, xAPI continued to expand its service catalog and refine its CLI tools and skill integrations for popular AI frameworks.

In the past six months, xAPI's core progress centered on AI model routing and aggregation. In June 2026, xAPI launched an AI transit hub (xapi.to/ai) that aggregates multiple upstream providers and automatically finds the cheapest, most stable route for the same model. In July, it launched URL-level model routing: pointing any OpenAI/Anthropic-compatible request to a fixed target model (e.g., ai.xapi.to/deepseek-v4-pro), with automatic protocol translation, supporting Claude Code, Codex, and any agent — one endpoint, any standard, fixed target model. Additionally, xAPI continued to enhance its agent-native infrastructure, including a unified MCP interface, CLI tools, and skill system, enabling agents to auto-discover, authenticate, and call 50+ third-party APIs.

Future focus: xAPI has explicitly set marketplace growth as its top priority. The marketplace is still awaiting its first third-party API listing, with approval and first call typically within 24 hours. It also emphasizes the unified gateway model of "pay once, call every API," and aims to attract developers to list their own APIs through real-time settlement and 80% revenue share, generating recurring income.
