X Layer, the ZK-powered Layer 2 network by OKX, launched its public mainnet, marking the start of its journey to enhance Ethereum scalability. A key milestone was the mainnet technical upgrade, which improved performance and stability, laying a solid foundation for future growth.
In DeFi, major progress came with the official deployment of Uniswap and Aave, bringing top-tier liquidity and lending protocols to the ecosystem. These integrations solidified X Layer's position as a competitive Layer 2 hub.
Strategically, OKX Wallet head Zakk Wang revealed that X Layer had entered its third development phase, with plans to deploy incentive funds to support ecosystem growth. This phase focuses on expanding use cases beyond DeFi, including payments and other applications.
Recent data shows X Layer accounting for 80% of trading volume on xStocksFi for two consecutive weeks, demonstrating its growing traction in niche sectors. These milestones highlight X Layer's evolution from infrastructure to a thriving ecosystem.
