Details

Unblock Global is a Web3 company that combines Bitcoin mining with energy infrastructure. It utilizes associated gas produced during oil extraction—instead of flaring it—to power Bitcoin miners, converting wasted natural gas into hashrate revenue. A typical use case involves partnering with energy companies at shale oil and gas fields such as Vaca Muerta in Argentina, deploying mobile mining units that connect directly to associated gas sources. Mechanistically, it leverages Bitcoin's Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus to transform methane that would otherwise be emitted into digital assets, reducing environmental footprint while generating additional income for energy producers.
