About U

U is a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by United Stables, operating primarily on BNB Chain. Its core business is unifying fragmented liquidity across exchanges, DeFi protocols, and payment networks. Unlike USDT or USDC, U uses a "stablecoin basket" model—backed 1:1 by cash and whitelisted stablecoins like USDT, USDC, and USD1—with on-chain proof-of-reserve and monthly audits. It supports gasless transfers via EIP-3009 and is designed for AI-agent payments, enabling machines to pay each other in milliseconds without holding gas tokens.

The main problem U solves is liquidity fragmentation: users often face high slippage and poor depth when moving between different stablecoins or chains. U aggregates depth from multiple sources, offering near-zero-slippage swaps and a unified settlement layer. Its competitive edge lies in deep Binance integration (zero-fee trading pairs, Launchpool inclusion) and being the first AI-ready stablecoin on BNB Chain.

In the past six months (March–September 2026), U's supply surpassed 1 billion tokens in early March. Binance listed U/USDT and U/USDC with zero fees in January, and later added it to Launchpool, replacing FDUSD. In March, U activated EIP-3009 and x402 compatibility, becoming BNB Chain's first AI-agent-ready stablecoin, with integrations across several x402 protocols. It also expanded to Ethereum and TRON networks, and adopted Chainlink infrastructure for price feeds, proof-of-reserve, and cross-chain interoperability. However, transparency remains a concern: custody updates were still dated December 2025 as of March 2026, and on-chain disclosure of reserve composition and yield sources is limited.

United Stables' U token launched on BNB Chain and Ethereum on December 18, 2025, reaching a circulation of 58.9 million USD within 24 hours, validating initial market demand. On January 13, 2026, Binance listed U with zero-fee trading for U/USDT and U/USDC pairs, marking its entry into the world's largest liquidity pool and establishing it as a mainstream trading asset. Binance subsequently opened deposit and withdrawal services for U, completing the centralized exchange infrastructure and enabling seamless fiat-to-crypto flows. In February 2026, Binance introduced U wealth management products with up to 10% annualized returns for demand deposits, transforming U from a pure trading asset into an interest-bearing instrument and expanding its utility beyond transactions. These milestones collectively demonstrate U's progression from a multi-chain stablecoin to an integrated ecosystem participant with exchange listings, liquidity provisions, and yield-generating capabilities, positioning it as a foundational layer for future DeFi and AI-driven economic activities.

Since March 2026, U has achieved significant milestones. On March 4, total supply on BNB Chain surpassed 1 billion. Binance Earn launched flexible savings products on March 6 (up to 10.5% APY) and March 20 (10% APY for first 20,000 U, 400M U quota). U expanded to Tron and Ethereum networks with Binance deposit/withdrawal support. In March, U implemented EIP-3009, becoming the first AI Agent-ready stablecoin on BNB Chain, compatible with x402 protocol. Official channels confirmed integrations with multiple BSC x402 protocols including Piervse and AEON, enabling agent-to-agent payments without gas fees.

Future roadmap focuses on: deepening AI agent micro-payment infrastructure, expanding into emerging markets for zero-cost remittance, and further multi-chain ecosystem growth. U positions itself as the default currency for machine economies, targeting programmable money for autonomous transactions and institutional-grade settlement.
