About tZERO
tZERO has achieved several milestones with long-term significance. It completed a strategic financing round led by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), strengthening its position in digital securities. The company is preparing for an IPO in 2026, signaling its maturation as a tokenized securities market platform. It integrated its compliant tokenization platform with Aptos, expanding institutional RWA issuance to high-performance public blockchains. tZERO received FINRA approval to conduct secondary trading of corporate bonds, broadening its market scope. It was also approved to provide digital asset custody services in the U.S., becoming the second broker-dealer authorized to custody digital asset securities. These regulatory and strategic steps underscore tZERO's evolution into a comprehensive regulated infrastructure for tokenized assets.
Key progress (Mar-Sep 2026):
Sui blockchain integration: tZERO announced direct integration with Sui to support regulated digital asset security trading, expanding institutional-grade market infrastructure.
CFTC registration: tZERO Introducing Broker, LLC obtained CFTC registration and NFA membership, enabling regulated derivatives and event contract services.
Private market launch: tZERO launched a regulated private marketplace for Web3 secondary trading, covering SAFTs/SAFEs and private equity tokens.
Sovereign bond custody: tZERO added USDM1, a Marshall Islands sovereign digital bond, to its regulated custody platform.
IP portfolio update: tZERO highlighted 105 patents across 23 families, focusing on tokenized fund creation/redemption, cross-venue liquidity, decentralized order matching, and privacy-preserving transactions.
Future focus: Expanding regulated derivatives infrastructure, deepening Sui ecosystem integration, broadening digital bond custody, and commercializing patent portfolio through licensing and enforcement.
