About TripleA
TripleA is a licensed cryptocurrency payment gateway that lets businesses accept stablecoin payments while automatically converting them into fiat currency. Its core business is simple: merchants get the benefits of crypto—fast settlement, low fees, and global reach—without having to manage digital assets themselves. The company holds licenses in Singapore, the US, and Europe, which helps it serve regulated industries.
The main market pain points TripleA addresses are slow and expensive cross-border payments, the volatility risk of holding crypto, and the compliance burden of dealing with digital assets. Its solution is a unified platform that connects traditional banking rails with stablecoin infrastructure, allowing businesses to collect payments from customers worldwide and settle in local currencies.
In the past six months, TripleA launched EUR Multicurrency Accounts in June 2026, giving businesses access to SEPA and SEPA Instant collection without needing an EU entity. In March 2026, it integrated with Circle Payments Network to support stablecoin-to-local-currency settlement across major corridors. One notable limitation is that public pricing is not fully transparent—the 1% settlement fee is only mentioned on its WooCommerce plugin page, and enterprise pricing requires a sales conversation.
Founded in 2017 by Eric Barbier, Triple-A obtained a Major Payment Institution license from MAS in Singapore, a Payment Institution license from the Banque de France, and registered with FinCEN in the US, establishing a compliant foundation for digital currency payments.
In 2023, Triple-A raised a $10M Series A led by Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India & SEA) with Shorooq Partners, accelerating its global expansion. The company later launched Multicurrency Accounts, enabling businesses to collect EUR via SEPA and pay out in stablecoins or local currencies across 70+ countries, and partnered with Mastercard Move to enhance cross-border payout infrastructure.
CEO Eric Barbier has articulated a long-term vision: the future of remittances is 'no remittances'—emerging markets should hold and directly consume stablecoins, shifting from fiat-to-stablecoin conversions to stablecoin-native economies.
