About Tomo
Tomo started as a SocialFi app and has evolved into Tomo Inc., now operating a multi-chain social wallet. Its core business includes the Tomo Wallet app and browser extension, a Social Login SDK, and a Telegram Mini Apps SDK. The wallet supports over 20 mainnets including Ethereum, Bitcoin, BNB Chain, and Base, allowing users to manage assets, swap tokens, bridge across chains, chat, send money, stake Bitcoin, and use a crypto card. The Social Login SDK lets users create a wallet using existing social accounts (Google, X, Meta, KakaoTalk) in three steps, while the Telegram SDK enables developers to embed crypto features into Telegram Mini Apps.
Tomo's core value proposition is lowering the entry barrier to Web3. Traditional wallets are technically complex and often limited to a single chain, which discourages mainstream users. Tomo solves this by combining Web2-style social login with multi-chain functionality, so users can interact with dApps without managing private keys manually. Security is handled through MPC and Shamir's Secret Sharing, and the wallet is migrating to Cubist's CubeSigner for hardware-level key protection with 2FA and time-lock export policies.
Over the past six months (March to September 2026), Tomo has completed its rebranding from a SocialFi app to Tomo Inc., expanded its wallet to support more chains, integrated Bitcoin staking through Babylon, Lorenzo, and Lombard, launched the Tomo Crypto Card for everyday purchases, and released its Telegram Mini Apps SDK to attract developers. The project has shifted focus toward infrastructure and enterprise solutions while maintaining its consumer-facing wallet products.
Tomo initially positioned itself as a SocialFi app, using ERC-4337 account abstraction to let users create non-custodial wallets via Gmail, Apple ID, or other social accounts, lowering the barrier to Web3. Its core model allows users to purchase "Tomo Keys" to bind with creators, tokenizing social influence.
In April 2024, Tomo closed a $3.5 million seed round led by Polychain Capital, with participation from OKX Ventures, Consensys, and others, to drive technical iterations and ecosystem growth. Subsequently, Tomo launched TomoID social wallet with link-in-bio and affiliate commission features; introduced Tomo Points to incentivize early user engagement and lay a foundation for potential future token airdrops; and released the Tomoji launchpad based on ERC-404, enabling fractionalized NFT minting and trading.
Later, Tomo evolved from a single SocialFi app into Tomo Inc., forming a product matrix for consumers and enterprises: Tomo Wallet, Social Login SDK, Telegram Mini Apps SDK, etc., aiming to embed blockchain capabilities into social and business scenarios. These milestones outline Tomo's trajectory from an experimental social app to an infrastructure provider.
Over the past six months, Tomo transitioned from a niche SocialFi app into Tomo Inc., an all-in-one Web3 consumer and enterprise infrastructure company. Its flagship Tomo Wallet now supports multi-chain assets, social login, token-gated communities, staking, and a crypto card, while leveraging MPC/SSS and Cubist CubeSigner for security. The company also launched SDKs for Social Login and Telegram Mini Apps to lower onboarding barriers, and expanded Bitcoin DeFi partnerships (Babylon, Bitlayer, Lorenzo, Lombard) to strengthen BTC ecosystem integration. Amid SocialFi market volatility, Tomo has pivoted toward infrastructure and utility rather than speculation. Official future priorities center on scaling enterprise solutions, deepening multi-chain and Bitcoin ecosystem support, and making Web3 as accessible as Web2 through developer tools.
