About Theo

Theo is an institutional-grade decentralized trading infrastructure that connects on-chain capital with global financial markets. Its core business is a low-latency settlement network that executes trades across major crypto exchanges while autonomously maintaining margin requirements. The platform offers products like thBILL (tokenized US Treasury exposure) and thUSD (a yield-bearing stablecoin backed by tokenized gold with hedging). It addresses the pain point of inefficient capital deployment for stablecoins and crypto funds, which often lack access to high-quality, compliant yield-bearing assets. By providing a unified gateway, Theo enables institutions and retail users to access tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) such as US Treasuries and money market funds without needing algorithmic trading expertise or managing multiple exchange accounts.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), Theo launched thUSD, a gold-backed yield stablecoin, in March after its Genesis Vault facility filled within 24 hours. In May, its products powered StableEarn, a yield vault on Morpho. In June, Theo became the first crypto-native platform to allocate $20 million to Fidelity International's tokenized dollar liquidity fund (FILQ), which holds a Moody's Aaa-mf rating. This allocation represented about 36% of FILQ's on-chain AUM at the time. The broader tokenized Treasury market grew from $6.9 billion to $14.6 billion over the past year, according to RWA.xyz, highlighting the sector's rapid expansion. No significant negative events were reported during this period.

Theo completed a $20 million financing round led by Hack VC.

It then raised $100 million to launch thUSD, a yield-bearing stablecoin backed by gold.

Theo also invested $20 million in Fidelity International’s tokenized liquidity fund, underscoring its focus on institutional-grade tokenized trading infrastructure.

In March 2026, Theo raised $100M via Genesis Vault, launched gold-backed yield stablecoin thUSD, opened access to 200+ countries, and targeted $1B TVL by year-end.

On June 30, Theo invested $20M via Sygnum into Fidelity International's FILQ tokenized fund, the first tokenized liquidity fund with a Moody's Aaa-mf rating, using Chainlink data for on-chain NAV distribution, adding a second institutional underlying to thBILL.

Concurrently, Theo partnered with Standard Chartered-backed Zodia Markets to support USDT minting/redemption, expecting 30-50% lower transaction costs; and with Stable to launch StableEarn, allowing USDT depositors to earn institutional-grade yields through vaults managed by Morpho and Gauntlet.

Future priorities: expand institutional underlying pool, add more stablecoin support, deepen RWA product lines (thGOLD, thUSD), and achieve $1B TVL by year-end.
