About TaoFi

Details

TaoFi is a DeFi protocol built on the Bittensor network, designed to bridge Bittensor with other EVM-compatible chains (e.g., Base, Ethereum). It enables users to participate in Bittensor subnet staking cross-chain without needing to directly hold or manage native TAO. Core functionalities include: 1) Swapping native assets for USDC via LiFi aggregators; 2) Bridging USDC to Bittensor EVM using Hyperlane's interchain account (ICA) system; 3) Automatically swapping USDC to TAO and staking via smart contracts; 4) Minting AlphaTokens (ERC20) representing the user's staked position. Users retain full custody of their AlphaTokens, which can be freely transferred, traded, or integrated into other DeFi protocols. The protocol is composed of core contracts including StakingManager, SwapAndStake, and AlphaTokenFactory, and supports interaction through custom interfaces or third-party integrations.
