About Synquote

Synquote is a decentralized options trading platform built on Ethereum, offering an order-book based marketplace for options. Its core business focuses on perpetual options and exotic options such as short-term touch options, which settle instantly when an asset hits a price target.

The platform's key narrative is solving capital inefficiency and poor liquidity in on-chain options. Unlike earlier AMM-based protocols where passive LPs bore most of the risk, Synquote uses RFQ (Request-for-Quote) and CLOB (Central Limit Order Book) models, allowing professional market makers to provide tight quotes while traders benefit from portfolio margin and yield-bearing collateral.

Market pain points addressed include: high slippage and wide spreads in AMM-based options, complex UX for retail users, and the inability to hedge convexity efficiently on-chain. By removing fixed expiries through perpetual options and offering binary-style outcomes via touch options, Synquote expands the design space beyond simple calls and puts.

Regarding the past six months (2026-03-02 to 2026-09-02), no reliable public information is available. The broader on-chain options sector saw 30-day notional volume around $1.44 billion, but Synquote-specific developments during this period remain undisclosed. No major negative events were reported, but the platform has not yet demonstrated significant traction compared to centralized venues like Deribit.
