About Starknet ID

Details

Starknet ID is a decentralized identity protocol within the Starknet ecosystem, enabling users to register.stark domains as on-chain identifiers. The identity is represented as an NFT, with a free mintable base identity that can be linked to domains, profile pictures (must be Starknet NFTs), social accounts (e.g., Twitter, Discord), and addresses (including EVM addresses). All data is stored on Starknet, allowing ecosystem applications to read and share it, so users do not need to recreate profiles across platforms. By registering a domain, The protocol also supports mapping.stark domains to snid.eth domains for cross-chain interoperability without L1 fees. Starknet ID aims to build a user-controlled, composable on-chain identity layer for DeFi, social, governance, and other use cases.
