Snakehead is a browser extension that turns any webpage into a live trading terminal for perpetual contracts, powered by Hyperliquid. It lets users trade assets directly from websites and even from X posts, with real-time charts and cashtag signals embedded on the page. The core value proposition is speed and context: instead of switching between a news feed and a trading app, users can act on market-moving information the moment it appears, such as trading a stock immediately after an earnings call or shorting an asset right after a major announcement.

The pain point it addresses is the friction of traditional trading workflows, where signals and execution are separated across platforms. By injecting trading functionality directly into the web, Snakehead reduces latency and helps users capture opportunities faster than they could with conventional terminals.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), Snakehead has shipped several updates. Version 1.5.3 optimized rate limiting, expanded the watchlist from 3 to 6 tickers, and added near-liquidation alerts at 50%, 25%, and 10%. Version 1.6.0 added support for HIP4 Outcome markets (called "Predict" markets), allowing users to view active, open, and closed positions, along with a redesigned PNL card. The team also launched an initial HIP4 frontend for recurring Bitcoin daily markets, with 15-minute markets planned. New tradable assets were added, including $LITE, $XLE, $ZM, $BIRD, and $TENCENT. Upcoming features announced include wallet importing, referrals and fee reductions, Season 0x rewards, trailing stop losses, relative strength charts, multiple chart support, native HIP4 support, a ticker activity feed, and broader website support (Finviz, Yahoo Finance, Substack), plus a price feed redesign. The extension remains available on the Chrome Web Store, with Google reviewing each update; there is no remote code execution and it operates with least-privilege access.
