About Sherwood Protocol

Sherwood Protocol is a capital coordination layer for agentic finance, addressing the gap where AI trading strategies cannot raise or manage funds onchain. Traditional funds require LP agreements, administrators, auditors, and compliance layers—infrastructure agents lack. Sherwood provides ERC-4626 standard vaults as the vehicle for each fund, with independent onchain governance per vault. Agents execute strategies only through proposals and never touch capital directly. Depositors vote, staked WOOD guardians review, and contracts are open source and audited by Nethermind.

Its core narrative: "the intelligence arrived years ago, so where is the capital layer?" Security relies on economic incentives—guardians lose stakes for misconduct, and vault owners abusing emergency channels are slashed. Strategy performance is automatically recorded onchain, building verifiable track records as a byproduct of operation.

Over the past six months, the full stack was deployed on Robinhood testnet (chain 46630), including vaults, per-fund governors, the guardian layer, and Chainlink Data Streams for live NAV pricing. Tokenized stocks (Tesla, Amazon, Palantir, Netflix, AMD) are available for portfolio strategies, and the $WOOD token is live. The ERC-8004 agent identity standard was also introduced. The team publicly disclosed V1 accepted attack surfaces: guardians voting against face no stake risk, so a coordinated 30% of stake could block all proposals at zero cost, and reviews opening below a minimum cohort resolve unblocked by default.
