About Rhinestone
Rhinestone is a modular account abstraction platform. Its core product is an ERC-7579-compliant smart account SDK that lets developers deploy and manage programmable wallets. The account supports pluggable modules such as passkeys, session keys, multi-sig, and social recovery, replacing seed phrases with flexible authentication. Its second pillar is Warp, an intent-based execution engine. Users sign a single intention (e.g., "swap USDC on Optimism and deposit on Base"), and the system routes it through a solver market to handle cross-chain swaps, bridging, and gas sponsorship automatically. The user does not need to hold gas tokens on the destination chain or manually bridge assets.
The core value proposition is composability: the account layer is signer-agnostic and chain-agnostic, while the intent layer abstracts away cross-chain complexity. This addresses a real pain point: traditional EOAs lack programmability and are vulnerable to private key loss, while cross-chain DeFi operations are cumbersome and error-prone. Rhinestone unifies account management and transaction execution into one SDK, reducing integration friction for wallet developers.
In the past six months (2026-02 to 2026-08), Rhinestone shipped EIP-7702 support, allowing existing EOAs to be upgraded to smart accounts without asset migration. It also released the Smart Sessions module for granular, policy-based transaction automation, and expanded Warp's cross-chain capabilities to cover more chains and token pairs. The team published audit reports for the core contracts and fixed a minor vulnerability in the session key validation logic discovered in early 2026. No major security incidents were reported. Overall, the project has steadily progressed from SDK tooling to a broader intent settlement network.
