About Primus Labs
Primus Labs is a cryptographic technology provider focused on bridging off-chain data with on-chain applications. Its core offerings are zkTLS (zero-knowledge Transport Layer Security) and FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption). zkTLS allows users to generate cryptographic proofs from existing web sessions (e.g., exchange accounts, social media) without revealing the underlying raw data. FHE enables computations to be performed directly on encrypted data, so sensitive information never needs to be decrypted during processing.
The market pain point Primus addresses is the 'oracle problem' in blockchain: smart contracts cannot natively access or verify off-chain data, and traditional solutions either sacrifice privacy (by exposing raw data) or trust (by relying on centralized intermediaries). Primus solves this by providing a verification layer where data authenticity and computation correctness can be cryptographically proven while maintaining full privacy.
In the past six months (February to August 2026), Primus has made several notable advancements. In March 2026, the project announced a collaboration with BNB Chain to build a privacy-preserving identity layer, enabling users to verify Web2 credentials (such as exchange account history and payment records) on-chain without disclosure. In May 2026, Primus joined the 0G AI Alliance Carnival to explore integrating AI-generated content verification with Web3 applications. Additionally, Primus has been developing a confidential finance product on BNB Smart Chain using FHE, aiming to allow institutional funds to utilize on-chain financial functions without exposing their positions and cash flows. The project also launched AlphaNet, a decentralized data verification network where participants can earn a reputation score by completing verification tasks through a browser extension.
No significant negative events were identified in the past two years. Note that this description refers specifically to Primus Labs (primuslabs.xyz), not to be confused with other projects sharing the 'Primus' name.
In February 2025, Primus Labs completed a $6.5 million funding round, led by Dispersion Capital, Symbolic Capital, and VanEck, with participation from Samsung Next, Alchemy, Maelstrom Fund, among others. The funds will be used to advance zkTLS and FHE technology development.
In October 2025, Primus Labs launched AlphaNet, a decentralized data verification network where validators are randomly selected from a participant pool, with each node running in a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) to enhance network security.
